Must Visit Thiruvalithayam Thiruvalleswarar temple

The name "Thiruvalithayam" comes from "Valiyan"- a black bird, and "Thiru"-  a form of respect.

The main deity is Lord Shiva as "Thiruvalleeswarar". Followed by Mata Parvati as "Jagathambal".

The main tree is "Kondrai" - Golden Rain Tree.

The Temple offered relief to many warriors such as The Great Rama, Bharathwajar, Lord Hanuman, Lord Guru, Lord Indhran etc.

The Theertha offered here is Bharadwaja Theertha inside the premises of the campus.

It is one of the 276 temples mentioned in Devarapadalgal and 21st temple in Thondai nadu.
